Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar, plus about 1/2 extra for rolling cookies in before baking
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 dozen Hershey kisses

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except for Hershey kisses.
  2. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar and place on pan.
  5. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
  6. As soon as cookies come out of the oven place a Hershey kiss in the center of each one.

Makes about 3 dozen

You can make these without the Hershey kisses. Just flatten each ball with a fork in a criss-cross pattern before baking.
